The Hartsville Civic Chorale was formed in 1981 to bring excellent choral music to Darlington County. Formed by amateur singers interested both in exploring new repretoire and in performing fine music, it presents one concert during the Christmas season and one in the Spring. We try to include children in at least one performance per year. Past performances include Bach's B-Minor Mass, Rutter's Mass for the Children, Brahms' German Requiem, Handel's Messiah, Haydn's Creation, and other major choral works. Auditions are not required, and membership is open to all interested singers.
